REinventing Culture in Urban Places network harnesses the power of culture and creativity to foster vibrant urban and peri-urban ecosystems and mitigate the fragmentation of social ties within local communities. Inspired by Újbuda’s Urban Innovative Actions project CUP 4 Creativity, it reconnects citizens through cultural engagement and creative activities, promoting inclusion, collaboration, and mental well-being. By mapping cultural assets, hosting inclusive events, and empowering participation, the initiative strengthens communities, reduces isolation, and builds self-sustaining systems, showcasing culture’s transformative potential for resilient, thriving urban and peri-urban development.
