On the 2nd of April, the city of Serpa was invited to present the Hydro-Heritage Cities network at the Meeting for Sustainable Urban Development in the Alentejo, which took place in Montemor-o-Novo.
This meeting, organised by the Directorate-General for Territory and the Alentejo 2030 Regional Programme, was intended to raise awareness of funding opportunities for municipalities through cooperation networks and to be the starting point for setting up the future Alentejo Regional Council for Sustainable Urban Development.
Serpa's participation in the Hydro-heritage Cities network was considered a good example to show other municipalities the potential of this type of network and to make known Hydro-Heritage Cities and URBACT's collaborative projects and methods.
