On May 12, a bilateral meeting was held hosted by the Municipality of Udine, lead partner, with the delegations of Lousã (PT) and Igualada (ES). There was a visit to the Toylibrary and the Game Archive, as well as meetings with local stakeholders such as the Piergiorgio Onlus Community which deals with disabilities. On these occasions the partners have seen how new technologies and the development of new educational techniques are very much in tune with the philosophy of play.
On May 28, the whole world celebrates World Play Day, an event where all cities can bring the game to the center of their activities. Obviously Playful Paradigm could not miss such an opportunity, so each Partner was able to experiment with the organization of a "playful" event using the Urbact local groups (ULG). Udine has been celebrating World Play Day for 28 years already and has set an example for other cities on how to organize and manage the day in different parts of the city.
June 14-15 were really important days for the Project Partners, for the first time the Covid-19 pandemic allowed a face-to-face meeting. It was exciting to switch from video to face-to-face so everyone could get to know each other better. The occasion is the City Festival organized by Urbact in Paris, here all the cities of the Network met and exchanged ideas and contacts, also having the opportunity to attend events and see live projects already in place in the French city.
Playful Paradigm Second Wave, thanks to the work of the Ad hoc Expert Martin O Donogue, had the opportunity to be presented in Geneva on the occasion of the UN Family Summit, an important international conference of the United Nations which greatly appreciated the paradigm of play as tool for urban and social regeneration.
