Continuing the development of the "Sātiņi Workshop" – a small business community center, Saldus Municipality gathered interested individuals from entrepreneurs, self-employed people, local residents, and others, as well as the working group of the URBACT program project "Future Residents" on the evening of June 18th at the former Sātiņi School.
This was a great opportunity to explore the municipality-owned free spaces and surroundings and to learn about various examples of how similar business communities operate in other countries. It is certainly worth considering Latvia's experience in this direction, but since this is a new idea specifically for our district, every participant's opinion and vision on how such a center could operate were important. Everyone who looked into the former classrooms could think about specific questions and write down their thoughts – on what the rental conditions should be, what support would be needed, what the building management model would be, what each individual would expect from the community and what they would be ready to contribute, and many other essential questions.
☀ Come and explore the place, even if your business idea is still in the formation stage! Perhaps the idea will find a place, and the place – an idea!
Residents of the Sātiņi School area are especially invited to ask questions and discuss how the implemented business center idea could contribute to the village of Sātiņi.
