  • Transnational Meeting in Caen

    The City of Caen, in the French region of Normandy, was the setting for the Network’s Transnational Meeting that took place on 2-3 April 2019. Partners and stakeholders from each network city participated in the two-day workshop, which was held at Le Pavillon. This location is considered a place dedicated to the understanding of architecture and city-planning in general, and more especially of the Caen Peninsula redevelopment project. It is also the headquarters of the Caen ULG meetings.

  • Rome hosts its 2nd ULG meeting

    The 2nd Urbact Local Group (ULG) meeting of Rome took place April 6th  at the Ex Cartiera Latina centre (on the ancient Roman Appia way). The 25 attendees  came from different urban gardens in the city, citizens’ associations involved in urban gardening, start-ups and City Administration.

  • ON BOARD good practice, the Educational Innovation Network, gets ready to be improved

    Just before Easter break, the first gathering of the second phase of the local support group was held in Viladecans. In this session of the URBACT support group in Viladecans, representatives from different schools, local companies, families and youths had the chance to validate and make contributions to the Educational Innovation Network improvement plan.

  • BIP/ZIP – Promoting partnerships in sensitive urban areas | Interview

    Com.Unity.Lab Transfer Network aims to replicate the Lisbon Local Development Strategy for areas of Priority Intervention. This strategy provides a range of integrated tools - a map, a grant, a tasking force and a Community-Led Local Development Network - to be used and adapted in order to empower local communities and enhance the citizens' quality of life. At the moment Aalborg, Bari, Lille, Lublin, Ostrava, Sofia and The Hague are learning from Lisbon, trying to understand which tool(s) can be introduced and experimented in their contexts, but also the Portuguese capital is learning with the Project Partners to improve its strategy.
