The URBACT Campus is a Capacity-Building event that brings together partners from Action Planning Networks (APN) at national or macro-regional level to prepare them for the last steps of their Integrated Action Plan co-production process.
For cities to achieve integrated urban development, cooperation at the national and regional levels can be essential. For this reason, a Campus training engages URBACT members with their national, regional and local partners to collaboratively build the capacities required to effect change and advance multi-level governance models.
These seminars are made possible thanks to the collaboration with the National URBACT Points and provide an opportunity for cities to share experiences with peers who understand their language, context and specific urban challenges.
This year, the event is featuring a hands-on approach, with tools and activities aimed at refining the partners’ Integrated Action Plan, with a specific focus on the challenges related to operationalisation aspects:
• What do you need to implement your Integrated Action Plan?
• How do you keep an integrated and participatory approach to implementation?
• What are your funding needs? How do you develop a funding and resourcing strategy for your Integrated Action Plan?
The Campus is also an opportunity for APN partners to check how green is their Integrated Action Plan: thanks to a Climate Fresk workshop, they will get inspired and define adequate green actions to integrate in their activities.
But that’s not all! The Campus is also the moment for many cities to network and to meet potential funding opportunities at local level: each Campus will have a dedicated session to get to know relevant funding opportunities for cities and liaise with potential funders for their activities!
The Campus will travel all around Europe until the beginning of December: a total of 18 URBACT Campuses will gather more than 270 partners from 28 countries!
The Campus season already kicked off. Curious to see where we’re going next? You can have a look at this infographic:
This training is designed specifically for Action Planning Networks and is exclusively open to URBACT beneficiaries. If you are interested in public URBACT events in national languages, keep an eye out for URBACT’s Info Days and other National URBACT Points’ activities.
